Rainham School heading to MK Dons...

Today the team from Rainham School for Girls is heading off to MK Dons to compete in the Regional Finals of the npower Football League Girls Cup.

The girls are now just one step away from Wembley and if they win today they will play the Northern winning school before the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final in April.

In preparation the team have received some extra training, last Monday the team attended our Girls Centre of Excellence and worked alongside our U13's and U15's then Wednesday the team received a surprise visit from England International Steph Houghton.

Steph, who has had the privilege of playing at Wembley, put the girls through their paces and gave them some words of advice for the Regional Finals.

The girls will be playing other school teams representing Bristol Rovers, AFC Bournemouth and Ipswich and all will be looking to make it all the way to Wembley.

We wish them the very best of luck and we will of course let you know how they get on.
