We catch up on news from elsewhere in League One

Following the departure of Matt Duke, who both played and coached last season, to Northampton Town, Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has appointed former Halifax Town keeper Lee Butler as the clubs new goalkeeping coach.

The Bees have signed 37-year-old Javi Venta on a one-year deal after more than a decade with Spanish side Villarreal who he left at the end of last season.

As expected last week the swap deal involving Ipswich Town forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Robins winger Paul Anderson has gone ahead. The Tractor Boys paid £1.4m to Arsenal for the 22-year-old in July 2011 but was not part of Mick McCarthy’s plans. Anderson. Also 22, made 30 appearances for City last season following his move from Nottingham Forest.

City boss Sean O’Driscoll has also signed Maidstone-born midfielder Scott Wagstaff on a three-year deal. The 23-year-old was a free agent following his release by Charlton Athletic.

The Robins have also confirmed that want-away winger Albert Adomah has handed in a transfer request. An unnamed club have recently made a couple of unsuccessful bids for the 25-year-old Ghana international.

Central defender Yado Mambo, released by Charlton Athletic at the end of last season, has been training with U’s as the club run the rule over him. The 21-year-old, a one-time Ebbsfleet United loanee, was on loan at Shrewsbury Town late last season.

A temporary agreement has been agreed with Northampton Town, and provisionally ratified by the Football League, for City to play home games at Sixfields for the next three seasons. Sky Blues' Chief Executive Tim Fisher has stressed that the move to play games there was part of a bigger plan to develop its own stadium in the Coventry City area.

With a number of their home games clashing with those of the Cobblers, who naturally have priority, Coventry have already had to switch a number of games, mostly to the Sunday, with quite a few more likely to follow.

Defender Mathieu Baudry, who arrived from AFC Bournemouth last summer, has penned a two-year contract extension with the O’s.

Danny Haynes, the former Ipswich Town striker, has moved to Meadow Lane on a two-year contract.  The 25-year-old was released by Charlton Athletic at the end of last season.

Midfielder Anton Rodgers, son of Liverpool boss Brendan, has joined the Latics on a one-year deal having been released by Brighton & HA.

Former England international striker Kevin Davies, now 36, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Deepdale and has been given the number nine shirt.

Fellow forward Iain Hume, who hasn’t played for the club since April 2012, has come off the transfer list at Deepdale.

Following on from the arrival of Jack Barthram, Grant Hall and Massimo Luongo , two more Tottenham Hotspur players have arrived at the County Ground this week. Right-back Nathan Byrne, who was on loan at the club last season, has joined on a permanent basis, penning a two-year deal, while midfielder Alex Pritchard has come in on a season-long loan.

Goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams has signed a new two-year contract at Prenton Park. The 26-year-old has made 91 appearances for the club since joining from Rochdale in August 2011.

It has been reported that Wolves are tracking Manchester City youngster Jeremy Helan who is thought to be surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium. The 21-year-old spent much of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday where he has been linked with a permanent move.
