We bring you exclusive access to Martin's first team meeting
Gillingham’s League Two Championship winning team returned to Priestfield this morning for their first day of preparations for the 2013/14 campaign and Martin Allen gave us exclusive access to the Gills first team meeting.After welcoming back the players from their summer break, Martin and his coaches outlined the training schedule for this week.
The first team, development squad and under-19 teams will all training together today and on Thursday and Friday, with all players set to be involved in the weekend’s pre-season friendlies at Faversham Town and Ashford United.
Martin then introduced the seven new first year scholars to their new team mates and there was plenty of fun as the first team squad and coaching staff were given the chance to subject each apprentice to a tongue- in-cheek 30 second Q & A session.
Finally Martin welcomed new signing Amine Linganzi to the squad before the group headed down to Beechings Cross for this morning’s first training session.
