The Gills will be welcoming some very special guests to Priestfield this weekend

Gillingham Football Club are delighted to welcome some very important people to MEMS Priestfield Stadium for this weekend’s match between the Gills and Plymouth Argyle, namely Commander Ben Ripley and the servicemen of Royal Navy frigate HMS Kent.

It’s especially fitting that Commander Ripley and his crew should be our guests for a match which sees two teams from historic Royal Naval Dockyard towns lock horns. We will be also marking the occasion by presenting the team from HMS Kent with a specially designed Gillingham FC kit for their football team to wear.

I’m sure all Gillingham supporters, and our visitors from Plymouth, will join us in giving Commander Ripley and his men a very warm welcome to Priestfield and we hope their new kit will be as lucky for them as it has been for the Gills this season.
