BIRTHS...

1932 - Bill Patrick

Having previously played for Kent Youth, Aylesham Old Boys, Snowdown Colliery Welfare and Coventry City, Bill returned to the county in June 1958 when joining the Gills.

The former full-back, who had progressed into a forward role while at Highfield Road, made his Gillingham debut against Millwall on the opening day of the season, his first goal coming in the third game at Walsall.

After scoring 15 goals in 50 appearances he was released at the end of the 1959-60 campaign and went to Folkestone Town.


1988 - Myles Weston

The versatile performer joined the Gills on a two year deal in August 2012 and scored on his debut against Bradford City.

The former England Youth international had previously been at Charlton Athletic, Notts County and Brentford.
