Share your memories of previous clashes between the Gills and the MK Dons

Gillingham take on MK Dons at MEMS Priestfield Stadium in Sky Bet League 1 on Saturday, and here’s our pick of the past encounters between the two teams.

GILLINGHAM 2-2 MK DONS - March 2010:

With Mark Stimson's men looking to avoid relegation to League Two, it was crucial that the Gills got a result against the Dons.

They got a point out of the game, but they would have to play out the second half with ten men after Dennis Oli was dismissed just a couple of minutes before the interval.

Jermaine McCracken had already put the visitors in front, only to see Adam Miller equalize at the other end just moments later.

Jermaine Easter took advantage of Oli's red card to give Paul Ince's team the advantage at half time, but Andy Barcham's 65th minute strike was enough to share the spoils.

MK DONS 1-2 GILLINGHAM - April 2006:

A few years previously Ronnie Jepson's side travelled to the National Hockey Stadium in search of three points.

A Gary Smith penalty had given the hosts plenty of hope as they went in front prior to the interval, but Gills rallied and fought back brilliantly in the second half.

Darren Byfield and Tommy Black struck within just two minutes of each other on the hour mark to turn the tables on MK Dons, and they would see the game out to record a fantastic win.

GILLINGHAM 3-0 MK DONS - December 2005

Gills supporters saw in the New Year in the best possible way with a convincing 3-0 home win over the Dons, then under the management of former Sheffield Wednesday boss, Danny Wilson.

Leon Johnson and Sean Clohessy gave the home faithful a lot to cheer about with a two goal advantage at the interval, and the entertainment didn't stop there!

With full time approaching and 2006 just hours away, Alan Pouton popped up in the 89th minute to seal the win in style.

The Gills would go on to finish 14th in the league table, while MK Dons were relegated after finishing in 22nd.

Martin Allen took the reigns at stadium:mk the following season.
