Steve is Sales Director at TJW Electrical Ltd but decided to sponsor the match personally and in conjunction with his charity work for Help for Heroes.Steve is the area coordinator for Help for Heroes and gave us the following message for the MK Dons matchday magazine
‘Today i am delighted to host 3 guests with me who have all served in in the Armed forces in Afghanistan, Iraq and Northern Ireland and have been badly affected mentally or physically by that service. I am also delighted to inform you that Help for Heroes was six years old on the first of October. During that time the generosity of the British people have enabled the charity to raise £176 million and to date we have spent over £140million supporting our wounded, sick and injured servicemen and women.
We have donated £24million to 40 other brilliant service charities enabling them support veterans from other conflicts. On the 21st November i will be staging a Concert in aid of Help for Heroes in the Great Hall here at Priestfield. The main act ill be the Royal Engineers Association Band and. Also on the bill will be the Local Military Wives Choir and two other acts still to be confirmed. This will be great night and a chance for you to show your support for the Armed forces and their sacrifices on our behalf. The cost is only £12 per person. Talking on yesterday’s experience Steve said, “Had a great day, the hospitality was superb. Especially the chefs special scotch eggs! Gills may be a league 1 club but the hospitality and food is premier league!
