He said: “I got the nod to come in and it’s my first home start so I wanted to show the fans a bit of what I can do and I’d like to think I did it, but most importantly we got a win and a clean sheet.



“It was important we took the game to them and we showed we weren’t going to give them any time on the ball.


“We are starting to gel a bit more, we’ve got a good squad and players who can come in and it’s good that the gaffer can change a system and there is more to come from everyone, myself included.”


Jermaine nearly sealed the points with a goal for himself; however his effort came off the post as he recalled: “It was a great cross from Brennan, it just hit my head and saw it come off the post,” he said.


“It would have been nice to wrap up the game but 2-0 is happy days and we got three points.”
