Peter Taylor has delivered his reaction to the Capital One Cup second round draw which will see the Gills welcome Premier League side Newcastle Untied to MEMS Priestfield Stadium.Gills defeated Yeovil 2-1 at Huish Park on Tuesday evening, and Peter said the draw has given everybody a boost.
Speaking to the media on Thursday morning he said: “To get the draw was fantastic – it’s lovely for our supporters to see a Premier League team as big as Newcastle United and I’m absolutely delighted for everybody.
“We were pleased with the win at Yeovil but that’s what makes it even better this morning with all the boys talking about Newcastle – we have a big game Saturday but it just gives you that extra buzz and we will really look forward to it.”
