Charlie Lee joins League Two side Stevenage following his release by Gillingham
Former Gillingham midfielder Charlie Lee has joined League Two side Stevenage for the 2014/15 season.The 27-year-old was released by the club shortly after the end of last season and has chosen the Lamex Stadium for his next challenge.
Lee spent three years at Priestfield having also had a loan stint at the club in 2010 and in total played 111 games and scored 11 goals – including two in Gills incredible 5-4 win over Hereford in February 2012.
Charlie once again teams up with close friend Chris Whelpdale who joined recently relegated Stevenage at the end of June, with the duo hoping to add another promotion to their CV’s having done so with both Peterborough and Gillingham.
