Peter Taylor has revealed that Danny Kedwell could be in line to return to the Gills squad for this weekend's trip to Rochdale
Peter Taylor has hinted that Danny Kedwell could be part of the squad that travels to Rochdale this weekend.The striker hasn't featured for the club since the 2-0 win over Crewe in late August, but it appears he is now nearing a return.
The Gills boss said: "Danny Kedwell has got a chance of being in the 18.
"He hasn't trained with the squad at the minute, there is a chance he will train on Thursday and then we will see how he looks.
"If he looks OK then we may consider him to be on the bench."
The striker has been working hard to be fully fit, however Peter has stressed that the club mustn't rush him back.
He added: "He has been working extremely hard with the club's medical staff at the local gym, and here at the stadium.
“Once he’s back playing, if we don’t push it too quickly, then he will be 100% fit for the rest of the season."
