Gillingham FC currently has an opening for an Academy Administrator to join the team at MEMS Priestfield Stadium

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Gillingham Football Club’s Youth Academy to recruit an Academy Administrator.

Gillingham FC has a proud history of developing home grown talent, some of whom are now playing in the first team, and also some now playing in the Premier League.

The foundation of any successful organisation starts with efficient and effective administrative support and we hope the successful candidate will enjoy the opportunity of embracing the philosophy of our Youth Academy, including the Elite Player Performance Plan,  and I’m sure will relish the challenge that this role presents.

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION:            Academy Administrator
DEPARTMENT:        Youth Development
RESPONSIBLE TO:  Academy Manager
LOCATION:        The normal place(s) of work will be:

•    Priestfield Stadium, Redfern Avenue, Gillingham, ME7 4DD
•    Gillingham Football Club Training Ground, Beechings Cross, Grange Road, Gillingham, ME7 2YD

You will be expected to undertake travel as is necessary to fulfill your job requirements and to the satisfaction of Gillingham Football Club.

SALARY:   To be discussed / Based on experience / qualifications
HOURS:    This is a Part-time role offering flexibility around working hours, but no less than 24 will be asked for per week, and there will be some early evening work on rare occasions. Weekends are free.


SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Academy Administrator will contribute to the efficient management of the day to day running of the Academy by offering support mechanisms to the relevant phase development managers and coaches.

This will mostly include managing the administration requirements of our young players in all phases, control the finance of our player development centres, attend and produce minutes of meetings, and liaise with all personnel necessary to confirm fixtures for all teams that we manage.

This role is a challenging but rewarding one and full support and training will be available.
