Floodlight Football offered Gillingham FC fans another magical night under the lights but it was extra special for the club’s ‘12th man’.
The club’s new match day package has proven to be a real hit with fans, offering an exclusive experience money can’t buy.
Charlie Nash was Gillingham’s ‘12th man’ on Tuesday evening. Charlie was contacted by the club after they found out via social media; he had been involved in a car accident following the team’s 5-1 victory against Fleetwood.
Euphoric from the Gills triumph Charlie, who was attending his first Gills game without his parents, was knocked over by a passing vehicle a stone’s throw away from Priestfield Stadium. The club heard about the incident on social media and investigated immediately.
Following the horrible ordeal, Charlie was invited to be Gills ‘12th man’ as a special treat to mark his speedy recovery.
Charlie and his family experienced the whole ‘12th man’ package including a VIP tour around the stadium, a signed Gillingham shirt and a meet and greet in the Manager’s Office.
Charlie “It’s been brilliant, I really appreciate the club letting me come down and do all of this, it’s been great.”
As part of his tour, Charlie was particularly impressed with the club’s conference and banqueting facilities.
“The Hall was very nice, with the chandeliers and furniture it looked amazing and I wasn’t expecting that at all.”
Charlie even got to meet Bradley Dack after the match, which added to a wonderful evening, as the Gills Player of the Match happened to be his favourite player.
“Bradley has really impressed me so far. I like the way he plays and he’s played really well this season. I’ve been a fan of Gills for a couple of years but haven’t started coming down to games properly until this year. I’ll be back again even more now!”
Charlie’s Mum thanked the club for the special Floodlight Football experience.
“All of us had a fab night and we’re still on a high. The club has such lovely staff and we cannot thank them enough. We are truly grateful to each and every individual for taking the time for us and we can’t wait to come back and support the Gills.”
