BARNSLEY V GILLINGHAM
Oakwell
Sky Bet League One
Saturday September 26
Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Adedeji Oshilaja (knee) remains out of action for at least another five or six days so Max Ehmer will continue to deputise at centre back.

Otherwise Justin Edinburgh has no fresh injury or suspension concerns.

As for Barnsley Dan Crowley should return to the squad. The on loan midfielder has been missing recently due to a thigh problem but he is expected to feature.

Ryan Williams (groin) is unavailable though as he continues to receive treatment.

Manager Comments:

Lee Johnson – “They’ve had a good start, and it’s another classic case of a group that’s been together a while, they know each other’s individual games, been solid and have scored a few goals.

“They are a good side and have Bradley Dack who I really like as a player, Cody McDonald is good at this level and Luke Norris has been doing well.

“But we are at home and we are going to take the game to them.”

Justin Edinburgh – “It will be the first time I have taken a team to manage there. I expect a tough encounter but we will be fully focused and determined to get back on track.”

Previous Meetings:

The two clubs last met at Priestfield on February 28 when Barnsley took all three points from Priestfield courtesy of a 1-0 win.

Gillingham haven’t beaten the Tykes away from home since 1969.
