DONCASTER ROVERS V GILLINGHAM
Sky Bet League One
The Keepmoat Stadium
Saturday January 16
Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Cody McDonald (broken metatarsal) will be out for at least a few more weeks but Josh Wright will play despite breaking his finger at Wigan last Thursday.

As for Doncaster James Coppinger could return following an ankle injury. Winger Cameron Stewart has extended his loan spell from Ipswich but a back problem could rule him out.

Management Comments:

Darren Ferguson – “It will be a tough game, Gillingham, they’re flying. They’re a team full of energy but we’ve prepared and we know where we think we can hurt them.

“We know where their strengths are and we just have to hope that, if we get a performance like we did against Stoke, we’ll win a lot of games!”

Justin Edinburgh – “They are an improving side, Darren has gone in there and started to implement his own ideas but anyone playing us will know that we are a very good side and full of confidence.

“We’ve recently had four successive wins; the overall performance at Wigan was as good as you will see. We have a real desire and hunger to get a good result.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs last met at MEMS Priestfield Stadium on September 5 last year when a second half Jake Hessenthaler goal proved enough to seal maximum points in a 1-0 win.

Last season at the Keepmoat it was Luke Norris who bagged a brace as the Gills clinched a 2-1 win.

In total the two clubs have met on 58 occasions and Gillingham dominate the head statistics with 32 victories. Doncaster have 12 to their name with 14 matches finishing in a draw.

Betting:

Doncaster Win – 11/8
Draw – 12/5
Gillingham Win – 19/10
