TEAM NEWS
Defender Zesh Rehman missed Friday's victory over Bristol Rovers through injury and will face a late fitness test before the trip to The Valley.

Gills head coach Ady Pennock believes Monday's match is perfect for the Gills, as his team look to follow on from Friday's performance against Bristol Rovers to secure their League One status.

“We’re not safe yet. We’ve got to go to Charlton a get a result there," said Pennock.

“It’s an ideal game for us, being a local derby and we’re taking over 2,000 fans. If we win and results go our way we’ll hopefully be safe.”

The Gills could leapfrog their opponents with a win on Monday, moving as high as fifteenth in the League One table.

THE OPPOSITION
Karl Robinson's Addicks currently sit three places above the Gills but with 51 points from 43 matches.

Charlton have won just twice in 16 Sky Bet League One games, come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with strugglers Coventry City.

The hosts have no fresh injury concerns going into the match, but former Gills loanee Harry Lennon, Lee Novak, Lewis Page, Roger Johnson and Ahmed Kasha remain sidelined.

LAST TIME WE MET
The last meeting between the two clubs at The Valley came back in March 2010's League One fixture. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with Andy Barcham and Dennis Oli scoring for Mark Stimson’s Gillingham side.

On the bench for the Addicks that day was the Gills winger Scott Wagstaff and ex-loanee Darren Randolph.

The teams have met 29 times in total, with the Gills winning four, drawing 12 and losing 13.
