No time to dwell, says Captain.

Gills skipper Lee Martin says the squad will continue to work hard as they go in search of the points needed to escape the bottom four in League 1.

Steve Lovell’s men were unlucky to come away from Home Park empty handed following a 2-1 defeat; Toumani Diagouraga scoring in the last minute to cancel out Tom Eaves’ equaliser.

Gills remain in the bottom four as a result, but Martin is confident the squad have enough quality to gain the necessary points.

He said: “The boys are massively disappointed; to not come away with even a point is frustrating.

“That’s probably the best we’ve played; created numerous chances and it’s difficult to know what to say.

“We haven’t got time to dwell and moan; we have a busy list of fixtures coming up so there’s points need to be taken.

“When you’re down there the luck is out but it’s down to us to keep working hard and the harder you work the luckier you become.”
