The Gills squad returned to training at Beechings Cross on Monday morning following a week-long fitness camp in Ireland.
Ady Pennock, Jamie Day, Steve Lovell, Mark Patterson, Glen Johnson, Director of Football Peter Taylor and Chairman Paul Scally were all in attendance as the players went through their first pre-season session at the club’s training ground.
All members of the squad, including new recruits Tom Eaves and Conor Wilkinson, completed the session without any serious problems and the coaching staff will now begin to prepare the team for the first pre-season fixture which is against Faversham Town at Salters Lane this coming Friday (7.30).
Speaking after training Ady said: “It was a good session; our week away has certainly helped team spirit.
“Everyone is very together, fitness levels are good and we’ll progressively increase the itensity of training as the days go by.”
