GILLINGHAM V DONCASTER ROVERS

MEMS PRIESTFIELD STADIUM

SKY BET LEAGUE ONE

SATURDAY APRIL 7

KICK-OFF, 3PM

Team News:

Lee Martin begins his four match suspension after being sent off against Southend on Monday. Josh Parker is carrying a thigh injury and is unlikely to be fit while Luke O’Neill will be assessed up until the last minute with a groin issue.

Navid Nasseri is 100% fit to start but the game has come too soon for Billy Bingham as he continues to recover from a broken leg. Callum Reilly (hamstring) could make the squad having not featured over the Easter weekend.

As for Donny Andy Butler could return following a knee injury. The visitors are lacking options at the back with on-loan Burnley defender Tom Anderson recovering from a fractured cheekbone while Danny Andrew (knee) is also out.

Manager Comments:

Steve Lovell - “To let the fans down as we did on Monday was unacceptable really and we need to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

“With seven games to go we haven’t reached the 50 point mark and that’s something we need to do.”

Darren Ferguson - “When Gillingham appointed their new manager, they went on a great run and were probably looking up at the play-offs.

“However, they have had a few bad results since then, but we are under no illusion that Saturday’s game will be a difficult one.”

Previous Meetings:

The sides last met on the opening day of the season at the Keepmoat as the game ended in a goalless stalemate. Gabriel Zakuani was denied in the first half courtesy of an excellent save while Tomas Holy refused to be beaten at the other end.

The Gills are unbeaten in their last five against Rovers and the last time Donny were victorious in ME7 was over 10 years ago.

In total the sides have met on 60 occasions with Gillingham very much bossing the head-to-head statistics with 32 wins to 12.

Odds:

Gillingham win- 7/4

Draw- 11/5

Doncaster win- 13/8

Special Bet: Navid Nasseri to score first and Gillingham to win 2-0- 90/1.
