Gills to take on newly promoted Addicks at Priestfield.
Gillingham have added another friendly to their pre-season schedule with Charlton Athletic set to visit MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday July 20 (2pm).
Lee Bowyer’s side were promoted to the Championship after defeating Sunderland 2-1 in the Sky Bet League 1 play-off final at Wembley in late May, and will now take on the Gills a fortnight before the new league seasons begins on August 3.
Millwall will visit ME7 just 24 hours later with Southend making the short trip to Priestfield on Friday July 26 (7pm). Welling United will welcome Gills for a friendly on Monday July 29.
Steve Evans is close to completing his pre-season schedule with more games likely to be added before the end of the week.
