Saturday October 17

Kick-Off, 1pm

Team News:

There are no new injury concerns for Steve Evans’ side, and he may well be able to call on club captain Kyle Dempsey who has trained all week following his injury.

Tom O’Connor is back from international duty with Ireland, and Stuart O’Keefe had successful surgery on his ankle, however he is likely to miss the remainder of the campaign.

Cameron Jerome may start against the Gills having featured against Portsmouth last Saturday for MK Dons.

Ben Gladwin and Kieran Agard will both miss the game as they continue to recover from injuries. Regan Poole and Daniel Harvie could feature, but Warren O’Hora and Joe Mason will require late fitness tests to see if they are fit to play.

Manager Comments:

Steve Evans - "MK Dons are full of talented players. It's about what we do though.

"We know if we get the service right and we defend properly then we have a chance of winning football matches.

"We have to have a plan. We have a motivated group, they have a chemistry that works.

"In Football you have to find a way to win matches, and that's what we did Saturday. In spells against Oxford we were not at it but we still created chances and their keeper was forced to make some good saves."

Russell Martin - “We’ve not won yet, I understand that, but as a neutral, if you watched our games then you wouldn’t think we are bottom of the table.

“Fundamentally and tactically, we’re in the right place – that’s backed up by every stat that is going. We’ve just not converted enough of our chances and we’ve not defended our box well enough. We have to defend certain situations well enough and be more ruthless.

“The players are all so frustrated. They feel they’ve let themselves down because they played so well and dominated, but not picked up results. But I trust all the players and staff to deliver.”
