The draw for the first round of the 2021/22 Carabao Cup will take place on Sky Sports this Thursday at 3.40pm.
Gillingham have been assigned ball number 16 in the southern section for Thursday's Carabao Cup first round draw.
Steve Evans' men will find out their opponents at 3.40pm on June 24, with the Sky Bet League 1 fixtures set to be released earlier in the day at 9am. The remaining Papa John's opponent in each of the existing groups will also be confirmed.
Last season, the club reached the third round of the Carabao Cup after defeating Southend and Coventry respectively, before narrowly losing out to Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium. Tyrese Campbell scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win for the former Premier League side.
Ties are scheduled to be played the week commencing August 9, however clubs are able to mutually agree an earlier date if preferred.
