New partnership confirmed with Buckmore Park!

Gillingham Football Club are delighted to announce a new partnership with world famous karting circuit, Buckmore Park.

Buckmore Park has a fine history of hosting some well known racing greats, including Lewis Hamilton and David Coulthard. It also recently played host to the great (and not so great!) of Gillingham FC, when the first-team squad took part in an afternoon’s racing at the circuit. On the day, Ben Reeves took the chequered flag, with an impressive best lap time of 51.810 seconds.

As part of the new partnership, fans are encouraged to head down to Buckmore Park to see if they can beat the best the Gills have to offer! Anyone who takes up the challenge of trying to beat Ben’s time, and is successful, will be entered into a draw to win the chance of a VIP experience, including the chance to race against Ben around Buckmore Park in the new year, as well as taking in a home League 2 game in your own Executive Box.

Speaking of the partnership, Commercial Manager, Joe Comper, said: “The first-team squad had a great afternoon at Buckmore Park, so I’m delighted to be able to work closely with them to benefit our fans and encourage them to take part in some Karting as well.

"Anyone booking at Buckmore Park is eligible for discounted tickets here at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, so there’s an immediate benefit, just for spending a few hours having fun on the track! I was impressed with the facilities down at Buckmore Park, and I know a number of our players are heading back for more racing when their schedule allows."

Philip Ling, Managing Director at Buckmore Park, said: “We're really pleased to extend a special welcome to Gillingham Football Club fans. We know how karting brings out the competitive spirit, so good luck!"
