Gills will hope to get back to winning ways on Boxing Day as Crawley prepare to make the short trip to Kent.

GILLINGHAM V CRAWLEY TOWN

Sky Bet League 2

Priestfield Stadium

Tuesday December 26

Kick-Off, 1pm

Team News:

The fitness of Dom Jefferies continues to be assessed ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Crawley. He wasn't in the squad for the trip to Forest Green but will hope to be fit enough to at least make the bench.

Ashley Nadesan and Tom Nichols will look to get the nod in attack against their former employers.

As for Crawley, former Gills defender Will Wright is more than likely to feature having scored in Friday night's 2-1 defeat at home to AFC Wimbledon.

Manager Comments:

Stephen Clemence - "We know coming to Priestfield is a difficult place for the opposition. It will be another tough game, Crawley play some good Football.

"We will prepare properly, it's important to concentrate on what we do and keep trying to improve what we are doing."

Scott Lindsey - “Work hard, stand up and be counted, roll your sleeves up and whatever the opposition throw at you you have got to be able to deal with it and play our way.

"Make passes run hard, if a team are going to come and press us we have to find a different way.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs have met on 15 occasions in total, with Gills winning nine of those and Crawley six behind with three victories.

The last meeting came at the Broadfield Stadium in August 2023 with an own goal from Harry Ransom proving enough for the visitors to take all three points.

Odds:

Gills win - Evens

Draw - 12/5

Crawley win - 5/2

Special bet: Ashley Nadesan to score first in a 2-1 Gillingham victory = 35/1.
