Three players have signed their first pro deals at Priestfield Stadium.
The club is delighted to announce that Sam Gale, Alex Giles and Ronald Sithole have all put pen to paper on their first professional contracts at Priestfield Stadium.
All three will join the rest of the first-team squad on Wednesday when they report back for pre-season training. They signed their deals on Tuesday with manager Neil Harris and Chairman Brad Galinson in attendance.
Giles, 17, has been with the club since the u9's and has been a regular in the youth team over the past 24 months, operating in the heart of defence. He spent time on loan at Sheppey and Corinthians last season.
Gale, 18, can operate at centre-back and also in a defensive midfield role. He has also recently enjoyed a productive loan spell at Sheppey United having made his first-team debut in November 2021 during a home league fixture against Cheltenham Town.
Sithole, brother of former Gills player Gerald, plays on the wing but can also operate in attack. He has featured for Chatham Town, Whitstable and Faversham during the 2022/23 season and, like Alex and Sam, was part of the team that reached the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup earlier in the year.
Brad said: "I would like to congratulate all three players personally on signing their first professional deals; it's great to see our homegrown talent coming through and I look forward to seeing how they develop over the next 12 months."
