An opportunity has arisen for an aspiring commentator to join us on matchdays.
The club is currently looking for a commentator to provide audio description for blind and paritally sighted supporters in 2023/24.
Audio description is a service that describes visual events in detail for a blind or partially sighted audience.
Gillingham is one of few clubs to offer the service and with the position now vacant, we are offering the opportunity for an ambitious individual to join us and gain some invaluable experience.
This is a voluntary role but would suit a university/college student or aspiring commentator who is looking to get involved in broadcast media.*
Commentary, if required, will be listened to by both home and away supporters at Priestfield. The successful candidate would be required for all home fixtures and will be sat in the press box in the Magnus Search Medway Stand.
