As for Salford, Ethan Ingram will be unavailale as he serves a one-match ban. Declan John however is eligible and is likely to be in the travelling party.

Management Comments:

Stephen Clemence - “We have to win our duels and our one-on-one battles and find ways to stop them playing. We need to turn up and take care of ourselves. If we do that then we will have a great chance in this game.”

Neil Wood [following the midweek defeat to Peterborough on penalties]: “There’s lots of disappointment for the effort and the quality that the lads showed tonight, were all gutted they didn’t get their reward for that, but come Thursday morning we need to put it behind us and move forward.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs have only ever met on two occasions, both of those in Sky Bet League 2 last season. Salford walked away from Priestfield in December last year with maximum points following a 3-0 win, but Gills won the reverse game on the final day of the campaign with Cheye Alexander's penalty enough to clinch victory.

Odds:

Gillingham win - Evens

Draw - 5/2

Salford win - 12/5

Special Bet: George Lapslie to score first in a 2-1 Gills win = 35/1.
