Ehmer | "We will be fully ready to make things right"

Max Ehmer says the Gills squad will be fully prepared to bounce back in the best possible way against Bradford at the weekend.

Gillingham captain Max Ehmer says the players are desperate to 'put things right' after they suffered a tough 5-1 loss to Harrogate on Easter Monday.

The no-nonsense German defender said that the team were gutted after the horror result but he insisted that the players are determined to bounce back stronger against Bradford.

"We were gutted and we have to apologise to the fans," admitted Ehmer. "We have sat down and talked about it to make sure it doesn't happen again. You have to remember the result but you also have to forget about it, because the game is gone now. We need to be positive going into the next game.

"What goes on in the changing room stays in the changing room, but there were obviously words said. We were gutted and angry with ourselves. It's gone now and we are looking forward to the next game.

"It's a learning curve and we will make sure it doesn't happen again. Now it is about the next game and that is all we are looking forward to now.

"Bradford is a tough place to go, but we have worked out their weaknesses and we have a game plan. We will be fully ready to make things right. We are going there looking to get three points."
