MK Dons v Gillingham

Sky Bet League Two

Stadium MK

Saturday January 27th

Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Head Coach Stephen Clemence will have a fully fit squad available to him for this weekend’s test at Stadium MK.

The recent additions of Remeao Hutton, who made his Gills debut at home to Forest Green last week, and Josh Walker, who joins on loan from Burton Albion for the remainder of the campaign, will give the boss further options as he looks to lead his squad to a third consecutive away win in League Two.

Dom Jefferies is pushing for a starting place, as is Ashley Nadesan and Tom Nichols.

As for MK Dons, they have no fresh injury or suspension concerns ahead of the game. Former Gills defender Jack Tucker is unlikely to feature following an ankle injury.

Manager Comments:

Stephen Clemence: “I’ve seen a lot of them (MK Dons).

"I was watching them even before I came to Gillingham. They’ve got some very good players and they’ve added to that as well.

“Our boys will be prepared and will know what to expect against them.

"We’ve got some very good players ourselves, we’ve been in good form, if we play like we did against Accrington Stanley and the games before that we’ll have a real chance.

“It’s a great place to go and play football, it’s a big stage.

"The players should be looking forward to it. We’ll have a game plan that we’ve been working on and putting into place this week. We’ll go there and enjoy the game.”

Previous Meeting:

Our last meeting with MK Dons came in October 2023, as we welcomed this weekend’s opponent to Priestfield in the reverse fixture.

Keith Millen led the Gills to a 2-1 win on the day, as goals from Macauley Bonne and Scott Malone proved enough to seal the points and see off a spirited fightback from MK Dons in the closing stages of the match.
