Gillingham have signed Notts County midfielder Charlie Allen
Hard on the heels of the capture of Ben Strevens, Gills boss Martin Allen has secured another signing for his new look squad with the capture of Notts County central midfielder Charlie Allen.
The 20 year-old began his career in the youth setup at Dagenham & Redbridge, gaining valuable first team experience with a loan spell at local non-league side Billericay.
In the summer of 2011 he earned a move to League One Notts County, playing nine times in all competitions for the Magpies before being released by the Meadow Lane club in May.
Charlie has put pen to paper on an initial one year deal with the Gills, with the club retaining the option to extend at the end of his first season.
