Richard Day updates on happenings elsewhere in League Two

ACCRINGTON STANLEY
Stanley boss Paul Cook has added two more players to his Crown Ground squad with Aiden Chippendale and Tom Eckersley arriving.

Former Huddersfield Town winger Chippendale has joined Stanley on a one-year deal. The 20-year-old has also played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle and York City on loan.

The other signing is defender Eckersley who has also penned a one-year deal following a trial. The 20-year-old left Bolton Wanderers in the summer.

AFC WIMBLEDON
Reading defender Angus MacDonald has moved to Kingsmeadow on a six-month loan deal. The 19-year-old England Youth international still awaits his Royals debut but had spells on loan at Basingstoke and Torquay United last season.

ALDERSHOT TOWN
Shots boss Dean Holdsworth has signed striker Craig Reid from League One Stevenage for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old, who previously played under the Aldershot manager at Newport County where he was a prolific scorer, has penned a two-year deal. 

He moved to Stevenage in January last year for £90,000, a record fee for the League One club, and played 33 games last season, scoring seven goals.

BARNET
Barnet, who announced earlier this year that this coming season would be their last at Underhill, will be playing in Harrow from the start of the 2013-14 season. This comes after Harrow Council approved the club's bid to move to their training ground. 

The Bees intend to leave Underhill - their home since 1907 - for a renovated, purpose-built stadium at their Hive training complex at Camrose Avenue in Edgware. 

The council have agreed a 10-year lease with the club to run from the start of the 2013-14 season.

The Bees have completed the signing of three more players – defender Jonathon Fortune, midfielder Anthony Edgar and forward Jake Hyde.

Experienced central defender Fortune moves to Underhill on a free transfer. The 31-year-old has had two spells at Charlton Athletic, played at Sheffield United and ended last season at Exeter City  

21-year-old Edgar, who scored twice in the 10-2 friendly victory over St Albans, joins following a trial. He began his career at West Ham United but only made two senior appearances for the Hammers and
 
was on the books at Yeovil last season, scoring once in 12 games. 

Free agent Hyde re-joins the Bees after leaving Scottish side Dundee. The 22-year-old, who started his career at Swindon, signs following a successful trial.

BRADFORD CITY
The Bantams have signed 29-year-old Swindon striker Alan Connell on a free transfer. 

He joined the Wiltshire club for a six-figure fee from Grimsby last summer but was transfer-listed after scoring 11 league goals. 

The Robins agreed to mutually terminate his deal so he could sign a two-year contract with the Bantams. 

BRISTOL ROVERS
Pirates boss Mark McGhee has added a number of new (and old faces) to his Rovers squad.

Stoke City midfielder Matt Lund has re-joined the club having penned a six-month loan deal. The Northern Ireland Under-21 international scored twice in 13 games during a loan spell at the Memorial Stadium last season.
The club have agreed terms with Scottish international defender Garry Kenneth who will join on a three-year deal subject to a medical and international clearance. The 25-year-old has previously played for Dundee United and Cowdenbeath (loan).

Central defender Rogvi Baldvinsson is due to sign after Rovers agreed an undisclosed fee with Norwegian side Algard FK. The 22-year-old is a Faroese international.

Striker Dave Clarkson, previously at Motherwell, Bristol City and Brentford (loan), is expected to pen a two-year deal subject to a medical.

BURTON ALBION
Two goalkeepers are among the Brewers three new signings. They have re-signed Derby County keeper Ross Atkins on loan as well as bringing in Dean Lyness from Kidderminster Harriers on a free transfer.

22-year-old Atkins played 48 times on loan at the Pirelli last term and re-joins on a season-long loan while 20-year-old Lyness, previously at Hearts and Birmingham City, has signed a two-year deal.

Meanwhile the other arrival is former Crewe Alexandra midfielder Lee Bell who has had two loan spells with Albion previously.  The 29-year-old has penned a one-year deal. 

EXETER CITY
City have re-signed free agents Jamie Cureton and Matt Oakley although the club have not disclosed the length of their contracts. 

34-year-old midfielder Oakley left Leicester City in May and played seven times on loan at Exeter. 
Striker Cureton, now 36, spent part of the second half of last season on loan at St James Park before being released by Leyton Orient in the summer. 

FLEETWOOD TOWN
The signatures of Peterborough United striker David Ball and French defender Youl Mawene takes the number of new arrivals at Highbury Stadium this summer into double figures.

33-year-old Mawene was released by SPL side Aberdeen at the end of last season after making 25 appearances. The former Lens centre-back, who had spent time at Burton, Derby and Preston. 

22-year-old former Manchester City striker Ball,who was on the transfer list at London Road having struggled to make an impact with the Posh, has signed a three-year deal. He had two separate spells on loan at Rochdale last year. 

MORECAMBE
Shrimps boss Jim Bentley has signed Crawley striker Richard Brodie on a six-month loan. He spent the whole of last season with Blue Square Bet Premier champions Fleetwood Town, scoring nine goals. 

OXFORD UNITED
U’s boss Chris Wilder has added midfielder Lee Cox to his squad after the 22-year-old agreed a six-month loan deal from Swindon Town.

After beginning his career at home town club Leicester City’s Academy he played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle before moving to the Wiltshire club.

ROCHDALE
Recent signing Peter Cavanagh has been appointed as the new club captain at Spotland. 
The 30-year-old, who joined on a one-year deal from Fleetwood Town this summer, knows manager John Coleman well from their time at Accrington Stanley where he won Northern Premier League and Conference titles. 

ROTHERHAM UNITED
Former Arsenal and Everton youngster Kieran Agard has signed for the Millers subject to a medical. The 22-year-old scored six goals in 29 games for Yeovil Town last season
 
TORQUAY UNITED
The Gulls have signed former Chesterfield centre-back Aaron Downes on a one-year deal. 

The Australian, 27, released by the Spireites at the end of last season after 184 appearances for the club, ended 2011-12 on loan at Bristol Rovers. 

YORK CITY
City manager Gary Mills has re-signed midfielder Jonathan Smith from Swindon Town. The 25-year-old, who left Bootham Crescent for the Robins last summer, has agreed a two-year deal with the League Two newcomers, with neither side revealing any details of a fee. 

Smith, who cost the Robins £30,000, was transfer listed at the end of last season despite scoring three goals in 48 appearances. The ex-Morecambe and Forest Green man played 43 times for York in 2010-11.
