Aldershot Programme Preview

12 October 2012

We bring you a preview of what's coming up in tomorrow's matchday magazine

To celebrate a century since New Brompton FC changed their name to Gillingham Football Club, this season’s programme is a celebration of the first 100 seasons of the Gills.

For each home game we're producing a unique cover, putting a fresh spin on a classic issue from the Gills first hundred seasons.

For the visit of Aldershot, we’ve gone back to the 90's with tomorrow’s cover based on the one used for Aldershot's visit to Priestfield in 1991/92. Inside you can turn to the centre pages for an eight page exclusive souvenir mini programme from that game.

The centenary celebrations continue with Chris Lynham’s memorable match focusing on the Rainham End Terrace's epic finale as Gills met Preston in the 1998/99 play-off semi finals, while Richard Day looks back at Gillingham’s 1958/59 campaign in The Good, The Bad & The Gills

Andrew Ford continues his series charting Gills performances against the Premiership, this week the spotlight is on Everton, and Nigel Clark explores the history of the Shots' home stadium, the Recreation Ground.

Back to the present and we bring you the exclusive thoughts of Chairman Paul Scally and Gills Manager Martin Allen on our record breaking unbeaten away run, Phill Catterick interviews Gills inspirational skipper, Adam Barrett and loan star David Wright answers our quick fire questions in On The Spot.

We've got the best of the action from our record breaking fifth straight away win at Northampton Town and last weekend's outing to Oxford United.

All this and much, much more, all for just £3.00. The programme is on sale now, so pick up your copy at the GFC Megastore today, or from sellers all around the ground tomorrow.
