The Bees have captured Czech Republic international winger Martin Fillo on a one-year loan from FC Viktoria Pizeň. The 27-year-old, who played under Uwe Rŏsler at Viking FK, appeared in both of Brentford’s pre-season games in Germany.
Central defender Harlee Dean has signed a new three-year deal with the West London club.

A strong Spurs squad edged past the Bees in a behind-closed-doors game at the Premier League side’s training ground. Alan McCormack and Will Grigg (penalty) were the West London club’s scorers but they were beaten by a Gareth Bale effort and a Jermaine Defoe double.

Manchester United defender Reece James has joined the Cumbrians on a half-season loan deal. The former Preston North End, Rossendale United and Blackburn Rovers youngster will remain at Brunton Park until midnight on January 1

The Sky Blues hit five first-half goals through Franck Moussa (2), Carl Baker, Leon Lobjoit and Leon Clarke in a dominant display against their German opponents, Ben Maund wrapped up the scoring late on.

Defender Carl Winchester has dealt Athletic a pre-season blow, the 20-year-old will miss up to eight weeks having suffered a medial knee ligament injury. Winger Cristian Montano has also been sidelined by a groin problem.
Giant Latvian centre-half Edijs Joksts has become the latest addition to Lee Johnson’s squad at Boundary Park. The 6’ 5” 20-year-old, an U21 international, has signed a one-year deal subject to FA approval and international clearance.

Former Posh forward Aaron McLean (Hull City) was reported to be a target for Darren Ferguson with the Tigers prepared to allow him out on loan. However the player has made it known he wants to remain in the Championship.

Striker Lyle Taylor, who recently turned down a move to Rotherham, has signed for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old, who amassed 29 goals for Falkirk last season, has agreed terms on a two-year deal with the option of another year.
The Blades have this week announced a home friendly against Greek side Atromitos, the game will take place at Bramall Lane on Friday July 26.

Striker Akpo Sodje has penned a one-year deal at Prenton Park with the option of a further year. The 33-year-old played in League One with both Preston North End and Scunthorpe United last season.
Midfielder James Rowe has signed a one-year deal with Rovers following a trial which has seen him feature in the club’s pre-season games.
Another new arrival is midfielder Chris Atkinson who has joined on loan from Huddersfield Town until January.
Inter Milan striker Bocar Djumo will spend some time on trial with Rovers with the possibility of securing the 18-year-old on a loan deal.

Forward Troy Hewitt has signed a one-year deal with Dean Smith’s side following his release from QPR. The 23-year-old was part of the Saddlers squad that went to Trinidad & Tobago for their three-game tour.
Slovakian U21 international Milan Lalkovic has signed for Walsall on loan from Chelsea initially until January. The versatile front man has previously been on loan at Dutch side ADO Den Haag, Vitoria Guimaraes of Portugal and Doncaster Rovers.
A third new arrival at the Banks’s Stadium is goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell which follows a successful trial period. The 24-year-old was at Chesterfield last season.
He was followed through the entrance by striker Romaine Sawyers who was released by W.B.A. Having been on loan with the Saddlers last season the 21-year-old has joined on a one-year deal with the club holding the option on a further 12 months.
Meanwhile former England U21 international Craig Westcarr has agreed a new one-year deal with the Saddlers.
