Several of the club's first team players have already visited George and the Manager will be doing so later today.

Peter is relieved to see the player come home, telling the club's website:

“I’m delighted for him and his family as it must have been horrendous news for his parents that something like that all of a sudden happened to George, and of course it must have been a nightmare for him too.

“I’ve been speaking to a couple of the players who have already been to see him and he’s done great so at least we are looking forward.

“When we heard about the news everything sounded terrible, it’s still not brilliant but he’s doing very well and I will go and see him on Wednesday with the Chairman and he knows he has our best wishes.

“We just hope he keeps recovering well.”
