The Gills are in action tonight

Martin Allen’s players will be in action at MEMS Priestfield Stadium for the first time this season when they take on a team of Royal Engineers at a special centenary match this evening.

It’s a double celebration, as the REs are marking the 200^th anniversary of the Royal School of Military Engineering at Brompton Barracks, and it’s also 100 years since the birth of The Gills – the year New Brompton FC became Gillingham FC.

The game kicks off at 7pm, preceded by a performance by the Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers from 6.30, and again at half-time.

Entry tonight will cost just £5 for adults and £2 for under-16s, with all profits from the game being donated to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
