Alex MacDonald has signed for League 1 Stevenage.
Midfielder Alex MacDonald will join Stevenage for the 2023/24 season once his Gillingham contract comes to an end.
The 33-year-old finished as runner-up to Glenn Morris in the fans' "Player of the Year" vote in late April and was offered a new deal, however he has decided to join Stevenage who will play in League 1 next season after winning promotion.
During his three seasons at Priestfield Stadium, Macca made 108 appearances in all competitions and scored four goals.
His last outing for the Gills was as a second half substitute in the 1-0 win at Salford at the Peninsula Stadium last month.
