SAFEGUARDING

Gillingham FC is determined to make all efforts to prevent discrimination or unfair treatment against  one and all whilst promoting the  equality of opportunity for, all members of staff, potential members of staff or users of its services because of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, pregnancy, maternity, race (which includes  colour,  nationality  and  ethnic  or  national  origins),  sexual  orientation,  religion  or  belief, responsibilities  for  dependents,  offending  background,  or  marital  or  civil  partnership  status.

Gillingham FC  is  opposed  to  discriminatory  attitudes,  and  is  committed  to  translating  this  into  all aspects of its everyday work.

We at Gillingham FC believe that it is vital that we lead by example in making our club a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds to come and enjoy their football whilst also adopting a zero tolerance to any form of discrimination.

The club has now introduced a Reporting Hotline for fans to call should they see any incidents of discrimination at games hosted within Priestfield Stadium. Our internal number is 01634 300000.

Kick it Out, a campaign that the club fully supports, has its own social media channels and text reporting number which is 01634 350132. Gillingham FC does not tolerate racism of any kind, and anyone who is proven to be using racist language or engaging in racial behaviour will be arrested. We encourage all supporters to report such incidences and our safety team will act appropriately. On matchdays please report anything to your nearest steward.

Gillingham FC are currently in the process of completing an Anti-discrimination and Inclusion Code of Practice with The Football League and partners to achieve the highest standards possible. So please check this page for all updates.
