We bring you the first result of our half time shoot out competition..
FEATHERBY JUNIOR SCHOOL v HALLING PRIMARY SCHOOL
Last weekend saw the return of our hugely popular half time shoot-out for schools’ and we were pleased to have reigning Champions, Featherby Junior School and Halling Primary School join us for the Bristol Rovers game.
The players had seven seconds to score from the edge of the D and could chose to dribble and shoot or simply fire one at goal. The keepers were allowed to move off their line as soon as the whistle sounded and put the striker under pressure meaning that they both had to think and act fast.
In the warm-up Feather Junior School, who were fielding a brand new team, seemed nervous and looked to be feeling the pressure of being reigning Champions, while Halling looked relaxed and calm. From the start the Halling keeper put the Featherby strikers under huge pressure by sprinting off his line to close them down, causing two to shoot wide. Halling on the other hand kept their composure to secure victory and end Featherby’s unbeaten run.
