BIRTHS...
1914 - Cyril Walker
The former Hitchin Town forward came to Priestfield from Watford in May 1937 but had to wait until the opening day of the following season before making his debut at Bristol City.
After appearing in the first 11 games of the season, in which he scored three times, he moved to Sheffield Wednesday in the October.
He later returned to Kent and played for Snowdown Colliery Welfare, Dartford, Chatham Town and Margate before managing Beckenham Town.
1989 - Adam Bygrave
The young centre-half joined the Gills on loan from Reading in November 2007 and made his debut against Hartlepool United at Priestfield.
After making 16 appearances his loan spell was cut short and he returned to the Madejski Stadium late in March.
Following his release by the Royals, Adam has played for Weymouth, Histon, Farnborough Town and is currently in a second spell at Hayes & Yeading.

DEATHS...
1969 - Cuthbert 'Clive' Wigmore
The half-back had previously been at Dinnington, Barnsley and Aston Villa before arriving at Gillingham in the summer of 1920.
He made his debut against Southampton at Priestfield on the opening day of the season and went on to make nine appearances.
Clive died in North Anston on this day in 1969.
