Midfielder signs on loan for the rest of the season....
Gillingham have added to their squad with the signing of Anton Robinson from Huddersfield on loan until the end of the season. The 26-year-old midfielder bolsters Martin Allen's options and will go straight in to the squad for the Gills live home TV game against Wycombe Wanderers on Monday night.
Anton began his career at Millwall and was Captain of their youth side before joining non-league Fisher Athletic in 2006 after short spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Eastleigh, Exeter and Eastbourne Borough.
A year later he signed for Weymouth where he scored six times in 85 games, sparking interest from AFC Bournemouth who he joined in the summer of 2009.
While at Dean Court he featured 117 times in all competitions and netted 10 goals before opting to sign for Huddersfield on August 1 2011.
His first team opportunities however have been limited at John Smith's Stadium, and Martin has moved quickly to secure his services before the transfer deadline shuts.
Ben Strevens however has left the club and has joined former club Dagenham and Redbridge on a deal until the end of the season.
Martin had made the striker available after finding first team options limited, and with his contract due to expire in the summer was given the chance to find another club.
Ben scored two goals in 14 appearances for Gills, one of which coming on his debut against Bristol City in the Capital One Cup in August.
Everyone at the club would like to thank Ben for his services during his time at Gillingham and we wish him all the best for his future.
