After starting his career at Northwich Victoria, and playing at Hyde United and Leek Town, his first spell with a Football League club came with Barnsley in March 1997.
Macclesfield Town, Lincoln City, Ross County and Dundee United were his next ports of call before Neale Cooper brought him to Gillingham in June 2005 and made his debut in the Johnstone Paints Trophy game with Crawley Town in October 2005.
After just 10 games, and following Cooper's departure, he signed for St Mirren in January 2006.
Since then he has been back to Ross County as well as having spells with Montrose, Dundee and is currently with Livingston where he is goalkeeping coach.
