BIRTHS...
1947 - Howard Moore
Having been born near Canterbury, Howard had played for Maidstone United and Ashford Town before joining Coventry City in March 1966.
It was from Highfield Road that he moved to Gillingham in July 1967 and made his debut in the September home game against Grimsby Town.
The winger had made 19 appearances for the Gills before being involved in a player exchange deal that brought Derek Woodley from Southend United in January 1968 with Howard departing for Roots Hall.
Later, after a short spell at Port Vale, he returned to Kent and played for Margate, Canterbury City and Dartford.
1961 - David Byrne
David played non-league football in the West London area having previously been a schoolboy at Brentford.
In July 1985 Keith Peacock signed the winger from Kingstonian and he made his debut as a substitute against Darlington at home the following month when replacing Dave Mehmet.
He had just one season with the Gills scoring three goals in his 30 appearances.
A £5,000 fee took him to Millwall before he embarked on a nomadic career which saw him play for numerous clubs for various spells and ranged from one Intertoto match for Tottenham Hotspur to Shamrock Rovers plus five Scottish clubs.
As his playing days came towards an end he took up coaching and has held differing roles at Albion Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Torquay United and Swindon Town where he held a number of posts including caretaker manager.
1985 - Tony Sinclair
Having started out on scholarship terms at Gillingham, the defender's career turned full cycle when Andy Hessenthaler brought him back to Priestfield in the summer of 2010 having been at Beckenham Town, Maidstone United, Fisher Athletic, Welling United and Woking.
He made his first team debut against Cheltenham Town on the opening day of the 2010-11 campaign and went on to make 23 appearances in an injury-hit campaign.
Following his release from Priestfield he joined Josh Gowling and John Nutter in moving to Lincoln City.
Tony has since been at Carshalton Athletic and Dulwich Hamlet but an injury sustained early in his second game with the South London side at Eastbourne Town has seen him ruled out for some time.
