London Broncos looking to advance to Challenge Cup 6th round
The London Broncos are in action again this evening when they take on Bradford Bulls in the fifth round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup at the Twickenham Stoop.Tony Rea's side will be looking to bounce back at the first opportunity after suffering defeat against Hull FC last weekend, and a place in the Quarter Finals will provide a huge incentive to the squad.
In the previous round they overcame Featherstone Rovers 24-12 in an entertaining game at the Stoop, and they are in good form too having lost just once in their last three outings.
As for team news, Chris Melling and Scott Wheeldon come into the 19-man squad in place of Alex Hurst and James Mendeika.
The latter is cup tied having played in the competition for Swinton Lions earlier in the campaign, however David Howell does return after recovering from the broken arm he sustained against Widnes earlier in the season.
Rea said: "Like any Challenge Cup game it's an honour for the players to get picked. It's very important that the players get themselves right for this contest.
"It's good to welcome David Howell back, he's been out a long time and he'll need to work hard to get in to form. He's done the hard work off the field; it's terrific to have him back in the squad."
Following tonight's encounter the Broncos have just three games to play before they host Warrington Wolves at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, and you can book your match tickets and hospitality packages by clicking the links below.
