Gills midfielder Charlie Allen has moved on loan in search of first team football
Gillingham midfielder Charlie Allen has today joined Skrill Premier side Tamworth on loan.The hard-working youngster has struggled to break into the Gills squad this season, making just two starts and a further four substitute appearances for the club.
He joins a Tamworth side currently sitting 20th in the Conference Premier with 16 points from their opening 16 matches of the season.
Charlie’s team mates at the Lamb Ground will include ex-Gills players Darren Byfield and Jack Evans, while another former Priestfield player Scott Lindsey is the Lambs’ Assistant Manager.
Allen joins Tamworth on a two month deal which will keep him at the club until January 4.
