Striker Joe Pigott has agreed to extend his loan move from Charlton Athletic

Gillingham’s on loan centre-forward Joe Pigott has today agreed a one month extension to his deal at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

Maidstone-born Joe has made three League appearances for the Gills since his arrival from Charlton Athletic on transfer deadline day, debuting as a second half substitute in the 3-2 win against Port Vale at Priestfield.

He scored on his first start, helping Peter Taylor’s team to their first triumph over Carlisle United for 20 years and led the line impressively as a lone striker in Saturday’s 1-0 Sky Bet League 1 loss at Oldham Athletic.

Joe’s loan extension will make him available to feature in this weekend’s away fixture against Bristol City at Ashton Gate and will keep him at the club up to, and including, our away match with MK Dons on Tuesday 25 March.
