Gills offering the opportunity to work towards a BTEC Diploma

Gillingham FC Community Trust are now offering the opportunity to study with the club and work towards a BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Sport & Active Leisure.

The course is aimed at 16-19 year olds and will help students develop skills and knowledge required for the sport and recreation industry.

The course offers a unique experience with GFC tutors and coaches that have a passion for sport and great experience within the industry.

The course offers both practical and theory workshops with the aim to offer an enjoyable, adult and individualistic approach to all learners.

Learners will be encouraged to participate in a wide range of sport and active leisure activities. Through participation they will be required to demonstrate their ability to prepare for the activity, teamwork, time management, and health and safety.

Including units such as Taking Part in Sport, Planning own Fitness Programme, and Job Opportunities in Sport and Active Leisure, learners of all ages will see that the qualification can lead to further study or career opportunities, potentially with the GFC Community Trust itself.
