Gillingham FC to begin the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One season with an away game against MK Dons
Gillingham will kick off the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One season with an away fixture against MK Dons.
This will take place on Saturday August 9 at stadium:mk with Gills having had recent success at the venue following a 1-0 victory last season courtesy of a goal from Craig Fagan.
An away game against Yeovil Town will follow just a few days later in the Capital One Cup before the same side travel to MEMS Priestfield Stadium for Gills first home game of the season on August 16.
Swindon Town will then travel to Kent for our first evening fixture before Taylor’s men visit recently relegated Barnsley on August 23.
Other notable dates are September 27 when Gills visit Bramall Lane to tackle Sheffield United, and on Boxing Day it is a short journey for the club with Colchester being the hosts.
Our first match of 2015 will be away at Port Vale (January 3), with Sheffield United visiting Priestfield on February 7.
Our season finishes on May 2, 2015 with a home game against Notts County.
