Gills warm up for the return of the half time shoot out with a friendly fixture during the club's home match against Crewe at Priestfield

During our last home game against Crewe Alexandra, St Benedicts RC Primary School were in attendance to take part in a friendly shoot-out in the build-up to this seasons Half-Time Shoot-Out Competition.

With the tournament not due to start for another few weeks, this was a friendly for the children of St Benedicts School and an opportunity for them to enjoy the thrill of scoring on the pitch at Priestfield.

St Benedicts brought two teams to the game, one in a white and black strip and one in yellow and black and the two teams were bursting to get onto the pitch at the stroke of half time, and eager to get their chance to score in front of the Rainham End.

Each child, accompanied by a teacher from the school, received a ticket in the Medway Stand to watch the Gills go on to win 2-0 in an thrilling victory.

The teams put on a great show, performing some fantastic penalties that a large number of premiership players would be proud of, and it was the white team who did just enough to secure the win over the yellow team.

After the match the children from both teams were in fantastic spirit and delighted to have taken part.

The official Half Time Shoot-out competition will begin on Saturday 20th September when the Gills take on Walsall.

Gillingham Football Club are proud to announce that LAWTECH will be sponsoring the shoot-out for the 2014/15 season.
