Chris Hughton's Brighton to visit Priestfield for a pre-season friendly in July
Gillingham's first home pre-season friendly ahead of the 2015/16 Sky Bet League One season has been confirmed.Justin Edinburgh's men will welcome Championship side Brighton to MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Wednesday July 29 (7.45) who concluded their season with a 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Saturday.
The two sides last met competitively in the first round of the Capital One Cup in August 2011 when a second half penalty from Ashley Barnes was enough to give the Seagulls a 1-0 win at the Amex.
Ticket information for this fixture will be announced in due course, with the Gills management in process of organising other pre-season games throughout the month of July.
