Gillingham secure the services of Josh Wright for the remainder of the season

Josh Wright has put pen to paper on a new deal which will see him remain at Gillingham until the end of the 2015/16 season.

The 25-year-old, currently in his second spell at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, joined on a short term deal in August but after impressing in the early stages of the campaign has extended his stay.

The midfielder has started the last seven matches in succession and is available for selection ahead of tomorrow's trip to Colchester.

Manager Justin Edinburgh added: "Josh has been a fantastic addition to our squad and I'm delighted he has chosen to stay.

"He has provided lots of experience to our midfield area and I have no doubt he will continue to be a key member of our squad moving forwards."

Josh was part of the Gills side that won promotion to League One in 2009 after signing on a short term loan deal from Charlton Athletic.
